Hi everyone! I’ve decided to make a new body scrub, and I did it a bit differently then the last body scrub I posted about. As with all body scrubs, this lavender body scrub is super easy and can be done in only three steps!

The differences with this lavender body scrub is the addition of almond oil and a mixture of calming essential oils. In this post I will show you how to make this body scrub, all the ingredients you will need, and where you can find the ingredients.

Find out how to make this super easy lavender sugar scrub. This sugar scrub has coconut oil, which is super nourishing for your skin, and brown sugar to help exfoliate. Lavender essential oil makes this scrub smell amazing and is a perfect way to help you relax and reduce stress. #DIY #DIYideas #bath #skincare #bodyscrub #sugarscrub #coconutoil #brownsugar #lavender #exfoliating

This recipe makes about 16 oz of body scrub. At the end of this post, I have included links where you can find each of the ingredients listed above.

I like my scrubs really oily because I have such bad dry skin, but if you like them less oily, you can change the recipe to 1/4 cup – 1/2 cup of coconut oil instead*.

Step 1: Melt the coconut oil so that it is completely liquid.

Step 2: Next, add the almond oil and essential oils to the coconut oil and stir until combined.

Step 3: Add the oil mixture to two cups of brown or white sugar. I chose brown sugar for this recipe. Mix the oil and sugar until combined. (Use more sugar for a rougher, more exfoliating scrub)

So easy, the sugar scrub is finished! Now all that’s left is to put it in a container of your choice. I hope you guys like this scrub! Below I will show you where you can get all the ingredients for this scrub.

  3. Just wondering if it goes off? I live in a humid sub tropical climate.

    1. Do you mean if it wears off? After rinsing it off in the bath or shower it should make your skin feel soft for at least a few hours. I live in a very dry climate and I find when I use the scrub, I don’t have to use any lotion for the rest of that day.

      1. No sorry! I meant does it have a use by date. Does it deteriorate with time or store well?

      2. Oh! I’m sorry I misunderstood. It should store well, for at least a few months I’m sure. I would imagine the coconut oil or almond oil would be the first to go bad but I know you can store them for at least a few months, if not a year. I’ve never had a sugar scrub go bad and I keep them for at least a month or two. I found this website that may be of some help, it has a list of when oils go bad. It lists both almond oil and coconut oil as being good for at least up to a year. http://www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/tips-and-tricks/free-beginners-guide-to-soapmaking-common-soapmaking-oils/ Also, if it starts to smell rancid or look bad that may be a sign of it being expired. I hope this info helps! Thank you for bringing up this great question!
