I’m not sure why, but decluttering is one of my favorite things to do. Getting rid of clutter is so satisfying and helps me think so much clearer throughout my day. One thing that I had to spend lots of time working on was decluttering my books. I always held onto them thinking I’d read them again one day, which wasn’t realistic of me at all. I don’t think I ever went back and re-read old books.

My old college books were even worse for me to hold onto, because they weren’t worth anything anymore by the time I tried to sell them. School books are constantly changing with new information, hence there being so many different editions. Past editions aren’t used anymore, leading to them losing a ton of value. Knowing this now, I wish I had gotten rid of these books a long time ago.

To get started, all you have to do is create an account. It’s so easy to do and completely free. Once you’re account is made, then you can begin adding books to your bookstore. You can do this all from your phone on the Pangobooks app! View the images below for more details.

While adding each book, you can scan the barcode to make things easier, or you can add the book manually. Once the book is added, you can include important information like the genre, weight, and condition. Books in better condition can sell for more money, so be sure to take good care of your books before selling!

Once all the information is filled out, you’re ready to list your book for sale! Buyers will be able to find your book using the Pangobooks app, making it super easy for you as a seller. If you’d like, you can share your bookstore using your own link to gain more customers.

Even when my bookstore was very new, I made sales right away. Surprisingly, it was on books that I wasn’t thinking would sell because they weren’t very popular or were books from college. Books that aren’t as common are probably easier to sell because there’s not many out for people to buy.

Once you make a sale, Pango makes it so easy for you to get your books shipped out. They give you a prepaid shipping label for you to print out and attach to your package. All you need to do is get your own bubble mailers for packaging. Amazon has so many options for bubble mailers, I bought these 100% biodegradable mailers for my bookstore! I also like to wrap each book in tissue paper inside the bubble mailer to keep the books well-protected during shipping.
