I’m so excited for this post, because it’s about one of my favorite pieces of home decor. Vases can be used for so much more than just for holding cut flowers. There are tons of fun ideas for vase fillers to decorate your home that aren’t as temporary as flowers are, since flowers will all wither and die eventually.

In my home, I have vases filled with wine corks and pinecones, but there are so many more fun ideas than that. In this post, I’ll give you tons of ideas and inspiration for different vase fillers to decorate your home. I hope you enjoy, and feel free to comment below if you have any ideas as well!

Crushed Glass:

I just recently found out that Amazon has TONS of crushed glass for different uses, and they would also be perfect as a vase filler. There’s so many different colors available, it’s almost hard to choose!

Stones:

Small stones would also be perfect for vase filler, and have a much more natural feel to them. There’s lots of different stones out there too. Even small gemstones would be really pretty to use.

Artificial Acorns:

Acorns are another fun idea, especially for the fall and winter seasons. They would definitely help add some warmth to your home, and using artificial acorns would ensure that they’d last a long time.

Sand:

Sand would be super easy as a vase filler, and would go really well if layered with other types of vase filler. There’s lots of different colors and granule sizes available too.

Artificial Moss:

Moss is another really fun idea for a natural feel. If you wanted to, you could even collect live moss to grow in a vase to create a DIY terrarium.

Seashells:

Shells would be a really pretty vase filler, especially if you decorate your home with a coastal theme. They would also look really good if layered with sand.

Pinecones:

As I mentioned earlier in this post, I like to use pinecones for a vase filler in my own home. I even use the painted pinecones from a previous blog post because they’re a little bit more fancy than regular pinecones.

Cranberries:

Cranberries are another great idea for the fall and winter months, especially during the holidays. They also add a nice pop of color that would look good for Valentine’s Day.

Wine Corks:

I think it’s safe to say I was shocked to find out you can get wine corks online! They’re probably my favorite vase filler on this list, and it’s a fun way to display corks from special occasions.

Artificial Flowers:

Probably the most obvious ideas on this list are artificial flowers. Unlike real bouquets, artificial flowers will last forever and the options are pretty much endless!
