Etsy Shop Announcement: Sophie’s Plant Shop

Posted on April 16, 2020April 18, 2020 by sophiebocks

Hi everyone, I’m so sorry for being absent for over a week. If you’ve been keeping up with my updates on social media, then you already know why!

The reason I’ve been so quiet is because I’ve been waiting to announce that I have opened my own shop called Sophie’s Plant Shop on Etsy!

If you’ve been following my blog for a little while now, then you know that plants are something I’m very passionate about. Having my own plant shop has been something I’ve wanted to do for some time now!

Now, I’m totally new to having my own shop, but I’m planning on growing my inventory as soon as possible and will post updates on here or social media for any new arrivals.

So far, here are some plants available from my shop. Simply click on the photo or title to visit the listing on my Etsy shop page.

Aloe Vera:

So far, aloe vera have been the most popular plant from my shop! These are a more hardy type of succulent. They prefer bright light and well-draining soil. Aloes only need water when the soil has fully dried out (about 1-2 weeks), as they are sensitive to overwatering.

Golden Pothos:

Pothos are a popular trailing houseplant. They are also quite hardy and can survive in medium to low-light. The golden pothos cuttings available on my shop are fully rooted and have leaves with really pretty yellow/green variegation. They can grow simply in a jar of water or be planted directly in soil.

String of Bananas:

I love trailing succulents! String of bananas is a fast-growing, trailing plant that enjoys bright light and well-draining soil. Wait to water until the soil has dried, as string of bananas is sensitive to over-watering.

Monstera Deliciosa:

I’m really excited for this one because I’ve just added it to the shop. These monstera cuttings are rooted and have huge leaves! The split-leaf monstera deliciosa is a popular tropical houseplant that enjoys bright light and well-draining soil.

My inventory is still quite small, but I will try to add to it as soon as I can! I’m sure there will be some kinks to work through along the way too, and if any of you have any tips or suggestions, please feel free to share them!

I also want to give a huge thank you to the customer’s I’ve had so far, and to those who have supported me along the way. I’m still getting the hang of things, but I’m so excited for this next adventure and to see where it will go!

Last but certainly not least, I hope you’re all staying safe and healthy while we ride out this COVID-19 pandemic. I have to say, planting has definitely helped keep me sane during all this. It is very therapeutic!

Happy planting!
