Greenhouses Under $600

Growing in greenhouses is the perfect way to expand your plant collection in a smaller space. The only problem is that greenhouses can be quite expensive. In this post, I’m going to list affordable greenhouses that are under $600.

Greenhouses are perfect for growing herbs and vegetables, especially year-round if you live somewhere with a harsher climate. Where I live, the winter temperatures get below freezing and the summers are incredibly hot. Without a greenhouse, I wouldn’t be able to grow a lot of the things I do now. They’re perfect for people who love plants!

Palram 6×8 Greenhouse:

I’ve included this Palram greenhouse first on my list because Palram is a well-known brand of greenhouse. The greenhouse I have myself is actually a Palram, and it’s very sturdy and well-made. This greenhouse is also available in several different sizes and colors. It includes a roof vent, rain gutters, lockable hinged door with magnetic catch, aluminum frame, polycarbonate panels and a galvanized steel base. It’s also rated for 56 mph winds and can hold a snow load of up to 15.4 lbs per square foot.

Quictent 20×10 Greenhouse:

If you live in a mild environment, then this Quictent greenhouse could be perfect for you. If you do experience wind and snow, it can also be easily taken down during harsher seasons. You just can’t really beat this size for the price. It’s available in two different sizes, and white or green, depending on your preference. This greenhouse includes two zipper doors and ten vents. The cover is 100% waterproof and lets in 85% of light to prevent plants from burning.

Outsunny 10×6 Greenhouse:

Similar to the Palram, this Outsunny greenhouse is also made from polycarbonate, making it a bit sturdier than the greenhouse listed above. It is a bit bigger than the Palram, though! This also includes a roof vent, rain gutters, a latchable hinge door, aluminum frame, and polycarbonate panels. Unfortunately, I could not find a wind or snow load rating for this greenhouse, and am unsure if I could recommend it in harsh weather.

Eagle Peak 8×6 Greenhouse:

Another portable greenhouse, this Eagle Peak greenhouse is one of the more affordable greenhouses on this list. It’s available in several different sizes and colors. It also looks fairly easy to set up and take down. It has a rollup zippered door, two rollup windows, and preassembled frame. Like the other portable greenhouse on this list, this greenhouse is probably not ideal for windy or snowy conditions.

LINLUX 6×4 Greenhouse:

This polycarbonate LINLUX greenhouse is another sturdy greenhouse. It has a slider door, roof vent, and rain gutters. Unfortunately, I could not find a wind or snow load rating for this greenhouse. It can be anchored, which would help it hold up to windy conditions, but the Palram listed above may be a better option.

I hope this list of affordable greenhouses has been helpful! There are a lot more options if you’re open to a portable greenhouse. Permanent, polycarbonate greenhouses are harder to come by, and should require a bit more research if you experience harsh weather where you live. Overall, Palram is still my top choice!
